Welcome

The Eleventh International Congress on Sound and Vibration, sponsored by the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV) and the Noise and Vibration Control Society (NVCS) of Russia in cooperation with the East-European Acoustical Association (EEAA) and the Russian Acoustical Society (RAS) will be held in the Hotel Pribaltiyskaya, in St. Petersburg, Russia, 5-8 July, 2004. IIAV is an international non-profit scientific society affiliated with the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM).

IIAV currently has 550 individual members in 55 countries and is supported by 31 national and international scientific societies and organisations. Theoretical and experimental research papers in the fields of Sound and Vibration are solicited for presentation at ICSV11.

The Eleventh International Congress is part of a sequence of congresses held in the USA (1990, 1992 ), Russia (1993), Canada (1994), Russia (1996), Australia (1997), Denmark (1999), Germany (2000), Hong Kong (2001), USA (2002) and Sweden (2003) each attended by several hundred participants worldwide.
