Cultural Program

An attractive cultural program is organized by the Symposium Secretariat Monomax for the participants and accompanying persons.

The Saint Petersburg sightseeing tour and the Welcome reception are included in to the registration fee.

Participants of the tours will be provided by comfortable transportation (minibuses or buses), an English-speaking guide, and entrance tickets to the museums.

"Magnificent Saint Petersburg" Sightseeing tour+visit to the Peter and Paul fortress

Saint Petersburg is the second largest city of Russia. It is a well-known cultural, educational and scientific center of the country with a world's fame. UNESCO recognized St Petersburg as one of the 10 most beautiful cities in the world. The city was found by Peter the Great in 1703. For almost 3 centuries by man's efforts the cold, marshy plain was transferred in to a miracle city. The city impresses one by a combination of magnificent architecture with strict planning of its broad streets, squares, parks, gardens, canals and museums of great rarity. It could be rightly called an open-air museum. The city is famous for its White Nights. During this period witch lasts for about 50 days (from June 1 until July 15), the sun is shining almost 24 hours a day. During this sightseeing tour you'll be acquainted with the past and present of Saint Petersburg's history and see the main architectural ensembles of the city. The Peter and Paul fortress is the birthplace of our city. It was build for fortification purposes but later became the political prison for the progressive minded people of Russia. During this excursion you will visit the St's Peter and Paul Cathedral with the burial vaults of Peter the Great and other Russian tsars. The remains of the family of Nicolas II were buried there in 1998.

"PETERHOFF – the capital of the Russian fountains"

Price EURO 60.00/person. Duration 5 hours.

Peterhof was build on the coast of the Finish Gulf for Peter the Great and was the official imperial summer residence until 1917.Peterhof is a town of parks and fountains known all over the world as the "capital of Russian fountains" because of 150 mysterious fountains in the gardens of the residence.Luxurious "Great palace" of Peterhoff is a wonderful example of the Russian baroque stile.Furthermore, Peterhoff has a lot of small and cozy palaces, such as Monplaisir, Marly and Cottage Palace in the romantic Park Alexandria.
